David’s continuous journey of self discovery, growth and contribution brings
him to a new life in this new millennium. After careers in broadcasting and
management, he was called to coaching. A life coach and owner of Great Lives
Coaching, David seeks to inspire others to attain their true highest potential
and to empower and assist them in the pursuit of their dreams.
David grew up in Western New York and received his BA degree in Speech Communication
from the SUNY College at Geneseo in 1982. His broadcasting career spanned
stations from Buffalo to Tampa. David’s management career included jobs with
AMC Theaters, Wells Fargo Bank and several specialty retail chains. His experience
includes training and development, human resources and project management.
David, a Coach U graduate, is currently working toward certification through the ICF
and IAC and is a member of both. He was the host of Coach U’s West Los Angeles
Chapter until relocating to Las Cruces, NM. David founded Rainbow Coaches, Coachville’s
Virtual Chapter for GLBT coaches, and the Rainbow Network, a GLBT business networking
group on Ryze.com. He teaches teleclasses and is also co-host of Coach U’s GLBT community, as
well as Southwest Coordinator for 6PC, a global network of GLBT professionals.
David is host of the ICF’s GLBT SIG and will present at there 2006 annual conference.
His nationwide coaching practice is focused on assisting gay men and others to create
empowered relationships in career, business, family, love and the world. In addition
to offering the GayRelate program, Get Clients Now and Get Hired Now,
David has created coaching programs to support coming out, and activists in creating change
while achieving personal balance. In addition to serving private clients, David has been a Success
Skills Consultant and Case Manager for TeamWorks in Las Cruces. TeamWorks is a
program of the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women which assists women
transitioning from welfare to work.
David currently resides in Las Cruces, NM with his partner of nearly seven years, Richard,
and their dog, Shilow. He has also served on the board of The South Bay Center,
volunteer co-publishers of the oldest GLBT newspaper in New Mexico, The Normal Heart,
a not-for-profit monthly publication.
